Camille Strain grew up in New Orleans, LA and spent a decade living on the east coast, receiving a BS in Psychology with cum laude honors from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. She then became drawn to healing with movement and exercise which led her to pursue graduate school in St. Augustine, FL. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy with high honors at the University of St. Augustine for the Health Sciences and, fascinated by human anatomy and biomechanics, continued advanced coursework in myofascial release; spine/lumbopelvic mechanics and manual therapy; mobilization with movement; and received a certification in dry needling.
As a PT, Camille felt so drawn to the fundamentals of Pilates and grew to love how she felt after a reformer class compared to any other type of exercise. Wanting to expand her career into the fitness & wellness industry, Camille became a certified Pilates instructor through Niche Pilates Studio in Richmond, VA while she was working as a travel PT. Her love of sunshine, hiking, and the beach inspired her to finally make the move to San Diego this past December after dreaming of living here for years. She is excited to continue to learn, teach, and practice Pilates amongst a diverse and experienced staff. Camille strives for her clients to leave her sessions feeling confident in their bodies with improved body awareness and posture in their daily lives.
